Coach Steve Singleton

Coach Steve Singleton, associate head coach at the University of Texas, was tabbed the Assistant Coach of the Year by D1Softball in 2024. Coach Singleton has been a vital component, coaching both offense and defense for the successful Longhorn program who has been in 2 Women's College World Series (WCWS) Championship Series. Coach Singleton was hired as an assistant coach in July 2019, he was then promoted to associate head coach in 2022. Coach Singleton has a combined seven years of collegiate coaching experience. Prior to Texas, he spent two seasons (2017, 2018) as the hitting coach of the Fort Myers (Fla.) Miracle (High Single A) and was originally contracted to be the hitting coach for the Pensacola (Fla.) Blue Wahoos (AA) in 2019 before deciding to accept the open assistant coach role with the Longhorns. He served as the U.S. hitting coach for the 2018 MLB All-Star Futures Game and spent time with the Twins during 2019 Spring Training, working with hitters, infielders and outfielders. An 11th rou11th-roundnd draft pick out of the University of San Diego (2006), Singleton played in 654 career games from rookie to AAA level as a shortstop and second baseman in the Twins organization. Coach Singleton has coached some of the top softball athletes in the country, including current Team USA member, Janae Jefferson, First Team All-American, Reese Atwood, and Longhorn Legend, Mia Scott.

Coach Camille Corona

Camille Corona currently serves as an assistant coach at Florida Southwestern State College, a top-ranked NJCAA Division I program. As a player, her .392 career batting average helped her compete at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2024 and at the University of Texas from 2019–2023. She helped lead Texas to a Women’s College World Series final with a .375 batting average. Her honors include NFCA All-Region (3rd Team), WAC All-Defensive Team, multiple All-Academic Big 12 selections, and 2019 MaxPreps All-American honors. Camille played at Dripping Springs High School, where she set school records with a .522 career batting average and 256 hits. She holds a B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in ASL from Texas and is pursuing a Master of Human Resource Management at UT-Arlington, graduating in December 2025.

Coach Chelsea Rex-Singleton

Coach Rex played NCAA Division I softball for four years, playing primarily pitcher and third base at Saint Francis University. Coach Rex has coached collegiate softball for seven years. She is a certified yoga instructor with teaching and psychology degrees as well as a master’s degree in education. She is currently the head coach of the Texas Barrelers in the Collegiate Lone Star League. Coach Rex has over thirteen years of instructing private lessons and is passionate about inspiring youth girls and preparing them not only for the softball field, but ultimately to succeed in life.
